Grounded 2 Map and Navigation Guide
Read the Grounded 2 map, use PEEP.R resource tracking, understand misleading markers, and plan safer routes across Brookhollow Park.
Quick answer
- Use map markers as target areas, then search for the real entrance nearby.
- Track a resource in the map view to highlight it when you approach.
- Use the PEEP.R compass and zoom to keep your route aligned.

How to read the Grounded 2 map
The Grounded 2 map divides Brookhollow Park into large named areas and reveals points as you explore. Open it before leaving a Ranger Outpost, identify the region containing your objective, and choose a visible landmark near the target. Brookhollow Park is large enough that a straight compass heading can easily run into a cliff, anthill, or hostile patrol.
A map marker is a question mark, not a front door. Missing Optical Disk markers demonstrate the rule clearly: the target may sit underground while the usable entrance lies far from the icon. Search the edge of the marked region for tunnels, ramps, cables, or Ominent structures before circling the marker itself.
Use PEEP.R 2K as the field map
The improved PEEP.R 2K connects your map plan to the world around you:
| Tool | Best use |
|---|---|
| Dynamic compass | Hold a heading between recognizable landmarks |
| Zoom | Check terrain and nearby icons without losing orientation |
| Resource Tracker | Highlight a selected resource when it is close |
| Trail-marker controls | Hide clutter or keep essential route markers visible |
| Backpack display | Locate multiple dropped packs during a recovery run |
| Chopping List | Keep required building and crafting materials visible |
For a resource run, select the needed material in the map's Resource Finder and enable tracking. The tracker highlights that resource as you enter its vicinity, reducing time spent searching individual grass stems, rocks, or plants.
Plan routes by objective
Resource runs
Track one scarce resource, set a nearby landmark as the turnaround point, and leave enough inventory space for the haul. A Buggy shortens open-ground travel and adds capacity, but a cave entrance may still require a short route on foot.
Underground objectives
Mark the entrance as soon as you find it. Disk A leads through the Toxic Anthill near the Snackbar Front and Picnic Table boundary. Disk B sits in the northern Pine Hill Spider Den. Disk C lies in the Ice Cream Cart's cold lower levels. In each case, prepare for the biome hazard before following the marker underground.
Backpack recovery
Open PEEP.R to display dropped backpacks, choose the safest visible pack first, and use trail markers to preserve the return path. Recovering one reachable pack can restore the healing, light, or resistance gear needed for the harder recovery.
Build a useful marker system
Keep marker meanings consistent. Use one icon for home bases, one for cave entrances, one for unfinished objectives, and one for temporary resource discoveries. Name markers by action, such as “Spider Den entrance” or “cold gear required,” so the map remains useful after several play sessions.
Remove temporary markers when the job is complete. PEEP.R can hide trail-marker icons, yet a smaller set of current markers is still faster to scan than a park covered in obsolete reminders.
