Grounded 2 Fast Travel: PTS Unlocks and All Stations
Activate all nine Grounded 2 fast travel stations, budget Raw Science, enter the Bridge and Skunk Pond labs, and fix missing PTS destinations.
Quick answer
- Visit each PTS terminal and pay its one-time Raw Science activation to add that station to the network.
- The first activation costs 10 Raw Science; the next eight cost 700 each, totaling 5,610 for all nine stops.
- Bring a Tang Banger for blocked PTS doors and breathing gear with underwater light for the Bridge approach.
- Install patch 0.5.0.5 or later to fix Pergola discovery and ordinary POIs incorrectly appearing as locked destinations.
Grounded 2 PTS fast travel unlocks and entrances
Follow the nine station routes, including the underwater Bridge entrance. Its older Pergola workaround was fixed in patch 0.5.0.5.

Unlock and activate the PTS network
Grounded 2 fast travel uses Ominent's Pneumatic Transit System, or PTS. The Into the Abyss update connects the Ranger Outpost units into a selectable network. Activate the terminals you want to use, then travel between those registered stops.
- Visit a Ranger Outpost and enter the lab. Nearby sprinkler heads help identify outpost entrances.
- Reach the PTS room. Some entrances need a blocked door cleared or an alternate route through the lab.
- Interact with the terminal and pay its Raw Science activation charge.
- Visit another station and activate that terminal too.
- Use a network terminal to select an available destination and start the trip.
The first activation costs 10 Raw Science. Each of the other eight costs 700, so the complete nine-stop network costs 5,610. This payment adds a station permanently; it is not a fare charged for each subsequent ride.
On an older save, return to labs you explored before Into the Abyss and activate their terminals. A familiar outpost can still need its network registration. Treat each first visit as a route-building trip: bring the supplies needed to open its PTS room, pay for the stop, and leave with a usable return route.
All nine PTS destinations
These are the destination labels in the expanded PTS menu. Coordinates are approximate north/east readings for the station area; the entrance can be underground or offset from the marker.
| PTS destination | Landmark and approximate coordinates | Access preparation |
|---|---|---|
| Trash Bags | North side of the deck, along the hot dog stand route; N 44, E -64 | Enter the nearby outpost and reach its PTS terminal. |
| BURG.L.'s Body | Beneath the ceremony podium; N 33, E -28 | Use the Ceremony area outpost. This is its PTS destination name. |
| Park Bench | Northern bench near the Fire Pit; N 85, E -20 | Bring a Tang Banger for the blocked PTS doorway. |
| Veggie Garden | Northern garden, near the Black Ant tunnel exit; N 68, E 34 | Reach the garden and enter the outpost before activating its terminal. |
| Pumpkin Patch | Southern garden, beside the solar panels and below the scarecrow; N 24, E 41 | Find the local outpost entrance and activate the PTS. |
| Pergola | Lab entrance near the Pergola; N 8, E -2 | Discover the station and activate it; use the current patch for the discovery fix. |
| Gnarly Bark | Outpost near the tree; N -24, E -14 | Look for the sprinkler and approach the entrance carefully. |
| Skunk Pond | Connected pond labs; N -21, E 12 | Use the underwater moonpool, a local PTS shortcut, and a Tang Banger. |
| Bridge | Southeastern outpost; N -42, E 48 | Enter through the nearby submerged cave to open the lab from inside. |
If Raw Science is tight, start with a station near your regular base route and one near your next objective. A distant stop saves more walking when it serves a trip you make repeatedly. Save the rest of the network for later visits instead of spending the whole activation budget at once.
Enter the Skunk Pond PTS room
The Skunk Pond network terminal sits beyond a local pipe connection. Finding the first pond lab does not finish the route.
- Swim to the lab with the moonpool entrance underneath it.
- Enter through the moonpool and use that lab's local PTS.
- Arrive in the connected lab and find the obstructed PTS-room doorway.
- Clear the obstruction with a Tang Banger.
- Enter the room and activate its network terminal.
Carry the Tang Banger before starting the swim. The first pipe serves as an access shortcut, so continue through the connected lab to reach the station that offers the wider destination menu.
Open the Bridge outpost from inside
The Bridge destination is in the southeast, away from the bridge itself. Its obvious lab entrance leads to a partially accessible interior with doors locked from the other side. The initial PTS route begins outside that entrance.
- Locate the petrol can in the nearby pond area, then find the small pool beside the rocks next to it.
- Prepare breathing gear, underwater light, healing supplies, and a weapon suitable for the creatures along the route.
- Dive into the pool and follow the submerged cave. Glowing mushrooms help trace the passage.
- Pass through the chamber with Toe Biter Nymphs and continue through the narrow opening toward the upper lab route.
- Follow the interior passage and use the biometric hand scanner to open the connection back to the original lab entrance.
- Enter the PTS room and pay to activate Bridge.
Open the scanner-controlled connection before leaving. That turns the difficult first approach into a reusable entrance, and registering Bridge adds the fast return trip from other activated stations.
Fix missing destinations and blocked access
| Problem | What to check | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| An explored outpost is unavailable | Its PTS may still need activation after the network update. | Revisit the terminal, discover the station, and pay the displayed activation cost. |
| You reached the lab but cannot reach the PTS | A doorway or access route blocks the terminal. | Use a Tang Banger at Park Bench or Skunk Pond; take the submerged route at Bridge. |
| A pipe takes you to only one connected room | You are using a local shortcut. | Continue through the lab to the network terminal, as required at Skunk Pond. |
| Pergola will not register at its actual location | Older builds placed its discovery trigger incorrectly. | Install 0.5.0.5 or later, then revisit the real station. |
| An ordinary landmark appears as a locked destination | Older PTS menus also displayed non-PTS POIs as locked. | Update to 0.5.0.5 or later and use the nine actual PTS destinations. |
Patch 0.5.0.5, released September 2, 2026, fixes both the misplaced Pergola unlock and the misleading non-PTS lock icons. Older instructions to run around unrelated flagstones to discover Pergola describe the previous bug.
PTS units occupy fixed locations and cannot be crafted or moved to your base. Keep the short journey between home and the nearest station in your route plan. Buildable ziplines can cover a custom gap that the fixed station network leaves open.
